About the Centre/Service Yarra Glen Preschool is a committee managed sessional kindergarten dedicated to providing a safe, healthy and welcoming learning environment for all children, families and early childhood professionals. We provide 15 hours of 3YO and 15 hours of 4YO (Pre-Prep) kindergarten programs. Our preschool features an open plan learning space filled with natural light and a large, natural outdoor learning space for creative and adventurous play. At Yarra Glen Preschool, we understand the vital contribution of play to early childhood development and the importance of child centered learning. We believe that children learn through hands-on experiences, allowing them to wonder, investigate and build on their own knowledge, whilst being challenged by a supportive and intentional learning program. Work Days of the Role Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
Hours of Work of the Role 15 contact hours per week + 4.75 non-contact hours per week
Description Yarra Glen Preschool is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated 3-year-old Educator for our 3 day a week (15hr) sessional program, working with the support and guidance of an Early Childhood Teacher to help deliver a safe and high-quality program that nurtures the development and growth of our children through meaningful and enjoyable play. This role will commence at the beginning of Term 3.
Qualifications The successful applicant MUST:
  • Hold a suitable (Diploma) qualification pursuant to the Education and Care Services National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulations
  • Be able to fill the position of Responsible Person if required by the Approved Provider in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check (or equivalent)
  • Hold and maintain an approved:
    • current First Aid qualification
    • current CPR qualification
    • emergency asthma management qualification
    • management of anaphylaxis qualification
    • mandatory reporting certificate
