About the Centre/Service
This role is at a well established community based sessional kindergarten in Keysborough. We offer three and four year old kindergarten programs. We have been part of the Keysborough community for over 30 years. The kinder is operated by a parent-run Committee of Management who respect educators’ expertise and supports their professional development.
The service has undergone some leadership change over this last year with a new director and a new educational leader who are committed to fostering a caring and supportive culture in which everyone can flourish. Staff wellbeing, and professional development are a high priority and our focus for the service is founded on the core values of Relationships, Agency and Inclusion.

Description
- As part of the service's commitment to continual development, paid ongoing professional development is provided throughout the year to enhance staff skills and knowledge with mentoring and support from the educational leader who works exclusively in the capacity of providing support to staff.
- Every 2 years staff are alternated to take turns in attending an all-expenses paid trip interstate to ECA’s Early Childhood Conferences to support continual high-quality professional development.

- Enjoy the benefits of working in sessional kindergarten with paid school term breaks throughout the year, and annual leave over the Christmas / summer holidays. Working 40 weeks per your, paid for 52 weeks. The highest level of Diploma under the VECTEA award is 2.3 based on experience which is $27.96 per hour.

- 17.50 hours per week (14 contact hours, 3.50 non-contact hours)
- Tuesday & Thursday 8:00 am-5:15 pm
Qualifications
- Hold an approved Diploma qualification in Early Childhood, WWCC, current first aid certificates
- Be able to support the teacher in planning and implementing the program, and be confident in taking observations of children's learning and development
- a strong understanding and the capacity to work with children with a diverse range of abilities
- A sound understanding of play-based pedagogy
- work and manage time effectively with minimal supervision,
- have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a team.
- Work in a professional manner at all times and ensure that the service meets the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law (National Law), Education and Care Services National Regulations (Regulations), relevant curriculum framework, the Quality Improvement Plan, and policies and procedures of the service
