About the Centre/Service This highly sought-after, not-for-profit Centre has a rare opening for a highly-motivated, innovative person to join our team as a Diploma Educator in our Three year old sessional kindergarten program. That’s right all those extra holidays across the year will be paid and yours to spend how you like! What a great way to refresh your mind and body ready for a busy term time supporting the teaching team whilst playing with and nurturing the minds of our three year old cohort of children.

Description This is a little bit about us:  We prioritise positive workplace behaviours and have created a team culture where people can thrive.  We will support you with 10% above VECTEA rates, planning time each week so that you can actively contribute to the program and your  ideas and passion can flourish.  You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of professionals in a purpose built large light filled environment with abundant resources and beautiful outdoor yards.  AND we have the most delightful parent community that is welcoming and supportive in every way! The children, well they are adventurous, inquisitive, curious and kind and can’t wait to have amazing adventures with the lucky person who will join our team. Specific details:
  • You will be part of a team of three with a group of 23 children. That’s a great ratio!!
  • Our program runs over 4 short sessions across 4 days. Monday and Wednesday from 1pm – 4.30pm and Tuesday and Thursday from 8.30am – 12.30pm.
  • Total weekly hours of the role will be 21 hours.
  • You will have ½ hour set up and pack up time for each session as well as 2 hours planning time per week to support the program. We are happy to negotiate when the planning hours are taken.
  • You will be employed under VECTEA, with wages 10% above the VECTEA rates.
  • Position to commence Monday 16th June (ideally)
Specific duties for the Kindergarten Diploma Educator are outlined in a position description, which can be requested via email. Qualification requirements:
  • ACECQA approved Diploma Qualification
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current Level Two qualifications in First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis Awareness & Administration of an EpiPen, and Asthma
  • Experience working with children 3-5 years preferred.
