About the Centre/Service Banyule Council is looking for a passionate Early Childhood Educator to work in partnership with families, our community and other professionals to develop a curriculum that is responsive to each child’s needs, building on their, strengths, interests and knowledge. Description About the Role: We are seeking a qualified Certificate III Early Childhood Educator to provide a high-quality educational program that meets the needs of children aged from birth to 6 years at the St Hellier Street Children's Centre in Heidelberg West. This is a 3 day opportunity and the ideal candidate will be available to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8 hour day with 1 hour unpaid lunch break.

Qualifications Skills, certificates and experience:
  • Successful completion of Certificate 3 or equivalent
  • Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate
  • Current First Aid Level 2 and CPR
  • Experience in a childcare service (and experience working with diverse communities)
  • Understanding of the Education & Care Services National Law Act 2010, Education & Care Services National Regulations 2011and the National Quality Framework & Standards
  • The ability to maintain written records and write reports relating to program goals and child development
