Work Days of the Role Monday and Friday with flexibility for 3rd day
Hours of Work of the Role 21 hours
Description We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Early Childhood Teacher to support the learning and development of our prekinder (3 year old) children. Over our 45 year history we have engaged and supported thousands of children in the Bendigo region to begin their learning journey and prepare them for primary education. This position plays a key role in ensuring that this legacy continues, all within a supportive and caring environment.

As the Early Childhood Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and implement a high-quality PreKinder program
  • Provide leadership while working as a member of a cooperative team and encourage educators who are involved in the program to contribute to the planning and implementation of the educational program
  • Enjoy a part-time role (21 hours)
  • Have access to professional development opportunities
  • Start date Monday 29th January 2024
Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A solid understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Understanding of Child Safe Standards
  • Current Working with Children Check, First Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Be a team player with excellent time management skills
  • Be efficient in Microsoft Office - 365 (is desirable with training available)
Employment conditions and salary will be based on qualifications and experience under VECTEA 2020 and will be adjusted to reflect any VECTEA updates.
