Position Overview
Robyn Jane Children’s Centre is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will:
- Develop and execute captivating programs tailored to each child’s unique interests and needs.
- Foster a warm, inclusive environment where every child feels valued, safe, and empowered to explore.
- Maintain open channels of communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and addressing any concerns with care.
- Collaborate seamlessly with fellow educators to create a cohesive and supportive learning community.
- Continuously assess children’s development, adjusting teaching strategies based on their evolving needs.

- Creative Learning Experiences: Design and implement innovative and engaging educational activities that inspire curiosity and a love for learning.
- Child Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Assess the needs of each child, monitor their progress, and ensure they are on track for school readiness.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead your room team, promoting collaboration, reflection, and mutual respect.
- Parent Communication: Maintain effective and open communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's development and progress.
- Community Networking: Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders in the local community to enhance the learning environment.
- Transition to School Program: Develop and deliver a comprehensive transition to school program that prepares children for their next educational step.
Qualifications
A little about you
- Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification as approved by ACECQA
- Current VIT
- Relevant experience teaching in a kindergarten setting
- Current approved first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications
- Current Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Excellent understanding of the EYLF, NQF and VEYLDF
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
