We are a 70-place, not for profit, community based service with 5 age-specific rooms, and 2 outdoor play spaces designed specifically for educating all children within the service.

Description Position Overview Robyn Jane Children’s Centre is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will:
  • Develop and execute captivating programs tailored to each child’s unique interests and needs.
  • Foster a warm, inclusive environment where every child feels valued, safe, and empowered to explore.
  • Maintain open channels of communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and addressing any concerns with care.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with fellow educators to create a cohesive and supportive learning community.
  • Continuously assess children’s development, adjusting teaching strategies based on their evolving needs.

About your new role
  • Creative Learning Experiences: Design and implement innovative and engaging educational activities that inspire curiosity and a love for learning.
  • Child Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Assess the needs of each child, monitor their progress, and ensure they are on track for school readiness.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and lead your room team, promoting collaboration, reflection, and mutual respect.
  • Parent Communication: Maintain effective and open communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's development and progress.
  • Community Networking: Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders in the local community to enhance the learning environment.
  • Transition to School Program: Develop and deliver a comprehensive transition to school program that prepares children for their next educational step.
Qualifications A little about you 
  • Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification as approved by ACECQA
  • Current VIT
  • Relevant experience teaching in a kindergarten setting
  • Current approved first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications
  • Current Working with Children Check and Police Check
  • Excellent understanding of the EYLF, NQF and VEYLDF
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
