About the Centre/Service Badger Creek Preschool provides a safe, warm and supported environment that welcomes families and embraces the rights and needs of the children and their families. It includes involving the children and parents in planning and participation of an appropriate program for the child in a collaborative manner with the educators at Badger Creek Preschool. The service acts as a conduit for receiving and exchanging information between staff and families to facilitate optimum learning opportunities for the child and for an ongoing assessment of the child’s progress and development. The program is play based and utilises the bush surroundings, through going on weekly “Nature Walks”.

Description Our amazing, long-standing teacher at the Badger Creek Preschool is hanging up her art smock and retiring, making way for a suitably qualified person to take on the position of Early Childhood Teacher/Nominated Supervisor for our mixed 3- and 4-year-old age group. The position commences on the 28th of January 2024. Class times are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am -3pm with a group of 29 children. The successful applicant will:
  • Express a genuine passion and interest in contemporary pedagogy.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and innovation in educational programming and implementation.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Be willing to work as part of a team to provide high quality education and care for children.
  • Show a clear understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law Act and Regulations, The National Quality Standards, Child Safe Standards and the Victoria Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
  • Have an interest in integrating a nature aspect to the program.
Additional government financial incentives of up to $21,000 may apply to eligible candidates. KinderLink also has other teaching and relief opportunities available.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education or ACECQA approved equivalent
  • Current Early Childhood VIT
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current first aid, anaphylaxis, and asthma
  • Current Police Check.
