About the Centre/Service
North Fitzroy Child Care Co-operative is a 27 place, not-for-profit community based centre, situated on a quiet street in Fitzroy North. We believe children learn through exploration and discovery within a stimulating educational play-based curriculum. We value collaboration with our families to provide a warm & engaging environment where children can meet their full potential. Our younger age room has 8 children each day with 2 educators while our older group has 19 children each day with 4 educators.

Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Educational Leader and Co-Room Leader to join our team. As our Educational Leader and Co-Room Leader you will play a crucial role in collaborating with educators to provide curriculum direction and guidance, whilst also utilising your expertise to lead and implement an engaging and robust educational program. Working closely with our team, the successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of an effective educational program within our service. This role requires someone who can support the team in implementing the cycle of planning to enhance programs and practices, ensuring that every child receives the highest standard of care and education.

- Have an understanding of how to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into curriculum, and be willing to learn
- Have completed a Diploma or Degree qualification in Early Childhood as set by the Education and Care Services National Regulations
- Be an enthusiastic and cooperative team member and collaborate with educators to provide curriculum direction and guidance
- Have a commitment to excellence in early childhood
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among staff
- Value developing positive and meaningful relationships with children, families and our community
- Be a motivated and driven educator, who will actively contribute to the curriculum and lead the development and implementation of an effective educational program
- Have an interest in natural play spaces and nurturing children's care and respect for the environment
- Be willing to work outside in all weather conditions
- Possess high quality written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate proficient use of technology
- Have a current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training Certificate
- Have a current Working with Children's Check
- Have a current Police Check
- Have the ability to work in Australia
- Two recent referees
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and several years experience in the EC sector
