About the Centre/Service
Perry Street Child Care Centre and Elizabeth Gorman Memorial Kindergarten Inc is a 50 place, Community based, not-for-profit early childhood education centre with an integrated three- and four-year-old funded kindergarten program.
The Perry Street Philosophy is used as a guide for decision making, as a mirror reflecting our values, and as a celebration of the strengths of children. The current Philosophy consists of three parts; a Statement of Vision, Statement of Principles and Statement of Action. In combination, these are the foundation to a method for which our community strive to create each day. As children are central to what we do, voices from our kindergarten children are woven throughout our Philosophy, highlighted in italics. A full copy of our Philosophy can be provided on request.

Work Days of the Role

Description
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for the right person. We are seeking an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our team.
At Perry Street CCC, we value our educators and provide above award wages on the Professional Community Standard (PCS) union agreement.
As an early childhood educator at Perry Street CCC, you will work collaboratively with the team of educators to provide a positive, safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment. You will play a key role in delivering the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and providing quality care and education for children aged 6mnths to 5 years.

• Above award wages on the Professional Community Standard (PCS) union agreement.
• After 3 months probation Perry Street pays up to 18 % above (PCS) based on role, qualification and experience).

Qualifications
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
- A deep understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and current early childhood education policies.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and First Aid certification.
