About the role
Our pedagogical framework aims to build collective confidence in children’s learning and development within our services and with external stakeholders. We are therefore looking for a leader with proven experience in the research, design, and implementation of a pedagogical framework.
As the Head of Pedagogy, you’ll need to bring a group of leaders along the design journey and utilise your change management and stakeholder management skills, develop a group of leaders in the implementation of the pedagogical frame which results in driving curriculum improvement at a system level.
You’ll be part of a broader multi-disciplinary team that spans deep technical knowledge across coaching, operations management, people management, facilities, child safety, communications, and finance.
Day to day, you will…
- Develop effective relationships with colleagues and utilise your pedagogical expertise to influence and effect system level curriculum improvement
- Lead the ongoing review, development and implementation of a contemporary evidence-based pedagogical framework that will enable consistently good learning outcomes for children across all ECMS centres
- Enable practice improvement and high pedagogical standards through contributing to the leadership and thinking on ECE professional development requirements
Qualifications
About You
You are an experienced early childhood education and care professional who has proven experience in building deep relationships and providing leadership to a group of leaders to drive curriculum improvement at a system level.
Your extensive knowledge of Early Childhood Education research and the National Quality Framework (NQF), enables you to develop a contemporary evidence-based pedagogical framework that will deliver consistently good learning outcomes for children across all ECMS centres.
Your positive, can-do energy and passionate commitment to child-centered approaches fuel your professional and personal drive. You are a life-long learner in all aspects of your life who is committed to achieving best practices in teaching and learning and committed to contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in line with our purpose of lifelong learning.
You are a passionate champion for diversity and build on the strengths of communities. You have a nuanced understanding and practical application of place-based approaches.
Your prior experience in leading others in teaching and learning pedagogy and implementation of high-quality professional development coupled with your ability to plan and lead projects strengthens your credibility to design and implement a pedagogical framework that drives system level curriculum improvement.
