Greythorn Early Childhood Centre is a community-based non-profit organisation with a parent management committee, offering 3yo & 4yo funded Kindergarten programs as well as Long Day Care and Occasional Care services. We cater up to 91 children each day across 6 rooms. With a history of serving the local community for over 28 years, GreythornECC is situated in one of Melbourne’s highly sought after areas in the Eastern Suburbs of Balwyn North. Our purpose-built centre provides safe and stimulating environments where children can thrive and reach their full potential.

Description
Greythorn Early Childhood Centre is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and committed educator to join our Junior Toddler Room (18months to 2.5yrs). This full-time position is ideal for a passionate educator looking to make a difference in a supportive and community-focused environment.

- Work as a co-educator in our Junior Toddler Room with 12 children aged 18 months to 2.5 years
- Work alongside 2 other educators (team leader + co-educator) to implement educational programs in accordance with service philosophy and children’s and family’s needs
- Observe and document children’s development and progress
- Sustain positive and respectful relationships with children and families
- Hold a completed Cert 3 or Diploma of Early Childhood Education (ACECQA recognised)
- Minimum 12months experience in an Early Childhood Education setting
- Current Working with Children Check
- Sound knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework
- Ability to build and foster respectful relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- High work ethic, passion, and motivation for early childhood education and care
