We have 2025 lunch cover vacancies across the Metro Central and MetroSouth regions at the following locations: Barriburn Preschool (Vermont South) Monday and Wednesday, Brandon Park Preschool (Wheelers Hill) Tuesday and Thursday, Clayton Community Preschool Monday to Friday, Mulgrave Park Preschool Monday to Thursday and Germain St preschool (Oakleigh South) Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Hours will vary depending on the sessions offered at each kindergarten, generally ranging from 2-3 hours per day (when required), although there is possibility to combine lunch cover roles across 2 local services for additional hours (where practical).  Please include your preferences for location and your days of availability in your cover letter or resume and we will try to match you to a role that suits your needs. Description Your Role : As an employee with Y Kinders, you will have the opportunity to:

  About You    You’re a dedicated, enthusiastic educator who loves working with young children and fostering their development. You’re looking for flexibility and opportunities to grow in your career. Ideally, you’ll have:
  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
  • A strong understanding of the NQF, EYLF, and VEYLDF frameworks.
  • The ability to create and deliver engaging, child-centred learning activities.
  • A valid Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC), current First Aid certification, and a Police Check (or willingness to obtain them).
  • A friendly, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work with different age groups in various settings.
