About the Centre/Service
Bentleigh West Kindergarten Inc. (BWK) is a community-based Kindergarten with an open, friendly and caring environment for 3 and 4 Year Old children to learn, grow, develop and explore in their own way. Small class sizes support our creative, imaginative, active and stimulating activities both indoors and outdoors.
BWK’s philosophy is aligned with the ‘Walker Learning Approach’, with a program designed to allow children to make choices, challenge their thinking, scaffold their learning and development and that uses a range of intentional teaching areas to facilitate learning and exploring their world through play.
BWK prides itself as being a parent-run Kindergarten. Our families play an active role in the overall management of the Kinder.
BWK offers one 3YO program (one day per week) and two 4 Year Old programs (three days per week each).

Description
We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic qualified Early Childhood Teachers and Educators to join our pool of relief staff for our 3 Year Old group and two 4 Year Old group programs. We require reliable staff we can call on in the event of staff leave and professional development days. Our ideal candidates are Teachers and Educators who can work cooperatively and professionally as a member of our friendly team to assist in the provision of a high quality program for children in their care.
The successful candidate/s will have a strong emphasis on play-based learning with a commitment to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all children.

Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA approved equivalent) for the Teacher role
