About the Centre/Service Nestled opposite Princes Park just off Hawthorn Road, our kindergarten is in the lively and friendly community of Caulfield South. Here you will find a world of discovery, learning and most importantly fun. Children who attend a GEKA kindergarten are engaged in a play-based curriculum which evolves from the children’s interests. Both indoor and outdoor activities and experiences are carefully planned to enable each child to work towards their next step in learning.

Description Glen Eira Kindergarten Association are currently seeking a certificate III qualified educator to join our team at GEKA Caulfield South. Our current offerings include kindergarten programs, holiday care, inclusion and education support and the delivery of professional development. About the position GEKA are seeking an enthusiastic and confident educator for a cert III educator position across GEKA Caulfield South's 3 and 4 year old groups. Hours of work are as follows: Monday: 8.30am - 3.15pm Tuesday: 12.00pm - 4.15pm Friday: 11.15am - 4.15pm Total: 15.5 hours per week We are also seeking educators to join our casual team. To be eligible to apply for a position at GEKA, you need to have the following:
  • An Early Childhood Education certificate, diploma, degree or equivalent, as approved by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)
  • Must hold a valid and current Working with Children Clearance or VIT registration (provisional or full registration)
  • Must hold a current (not older than 6 months) National Police Check
  • Must hold a valid and current First Aid (Level 004), CPR and Child Protection certificates
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current best practice that is reflective of the approved National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 and Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to deliver high quality education
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) and confidence to engage with a diverse range of people
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate a positive work culture and be solution focused in thinking and practice
  • Teachers must have demonstrated capacity to positively and confidently lead teams
