About the Centre/Service
Merri Community Childcare Centre and Kindergarten Inc (Merri CCC & K Inc) is seeking a committed and highly motivated Early Childhood Teacher to work in the new three-year- old LDC Kindergarten Program. Merri CCC & K Inc is a 49-place parent managed Community Based Child Care Centre & Kindergarten located in Thornbury (Victoria 3071). Merri CCC & K Inc is committed to high quality care for young children in a caring, supportive, nurturing & educational environment.

If successful you will be engaged on a permanent full-time basis (38-hour week) and will work 8.30am-5.10pm.
The successful candidate will work with and alongside a permanent Full-time Early Childhood Educator in our three-year-old funded Kindergarten Program room.

- 5 Hours of contact time per day
- 6 hours of non-contact time per day
- 5 hours of weekly program planning time with the Early Childhood Educator

- The successful applicant must have,
- Bachelor in Early Childhood teaching or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification
- VIT Registration, provisionally registered teachers are encouraged to apply
- Level 2 First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis Certificate, Asthma Certificate
- A current Police check (not more than 6 months old)
- Previous experience working with children.
- Up to date knowledge of the VEYLDF and NQF
- Proficiency in English both written and oral
- Passion for Early Childhood Education & Care
- Effective communication skills and excellent teamwork
- Ability to work in Australia
- Two recent referees
