About the Centre/Service Hampton Community kindergarten is located in the heart of beautiful Hampton. Our Kindergarten has been a part of the Bayside Community for over 70 years and was founded on the 1st June 1943. We are a community-based not for profit kindergarten, managed by a parent run Committee of Management. We offer Sessional Kinder and have one 3yo group and two 4yo groups.

Description We are seeking a Four-year-old teacher to work two 7.5 hour sessions per week Mondays and Thursdays. (22.5 hours per week) This role can be structured as full-time role for the right candidate, including Nominated Supervisor & Educational Leader role. Your responsibilities will include:- Planning and delivering a high-quality program that nurtures the growth and development of children through an intention lead, play-based curriculum Keeping observations and records for the children in your group, sharing aspects of these assessments with parents via Seesaw Leading and cooperating with your co-educator to set termly intentions, achieving the best learning outcomes for the children Displaying good communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with educators, parents, children, and the wider community Displaying a strong sense of teamwork and a collaborative approach to work Operating ethically and professionally at all times Working with the  Committee and co-workers to ensure that the service meets the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law (National Law); Education and Care Services National Regulations (Regulations), the Department of Education and Training Attending and participating in one staff meeting a month (DET) Kindergarten Funding Guide; and functions in line with the policies, procedures and the Quality Improvement Plan. Regularly contributing to the centres Quality Improvement Plan and School Readiness Funding plan. To be successful you will be a positive, proactive team player, who is able to work autonomously, as well as contribute to collective decisions. You will have a solid understanding of child development and a proven ability to plan a play-based, emergent curriculum. You will view children as being competent and capable and you will welcome and encourage family input into your program. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to connect with children, families, the committee and co-workers.
Qualifications Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA assessed equivalent. Current first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and Asthma management training Experience in a pedagogical/curriculum leader role or equivalent - desirable Police check (or willing to obtain)
