About the Centre/Service Clifton Street CC is a not-for-profit community-run long day care and kindergarten, providing care and education to children aged from 6 months to 5 years. We are in the heart of Northcote, Melbourne providing accessible quality education and care to the community. We pride ourselves in our NQF Exceeding Rating. We are a 77 place centre with four learning spaces, 3 yards and are located adjacent to large ovals and greenspaces. Work Days of the Role Monday to Friday

Description We are looking for a VIT Registered Early Childhood Teacher to join our 4 year old kindergarten program. In this role you will be working in a long day Integrated Kindergarten program with up to 29 children per day. You will Team teach with an experienced Kindergarten Teacher and collaborate with a team of dedicated educators to create a stimulating, positive and inclusive environment that reflects the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework whilst maintaining the elements of the National Quality Standard (NQS). With the benefit of above educator to child ratio, you will be responsible for observations, programming and for the evaluation of children's development to ultimately support their learning and development outcomes.  You will also benefit from mentoring from an experienced Educational Leader and leadership team. There are also opportunities for on-going Professional Development throughout the year to enhance your skills and knowledge, during our two annual professional development days, team meetings and training from external services and consultants. Qualifications
  • A Bachelor in Early Childhood Teaching or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification
  • VIT Registration, Provisionally registered teachers are encouraged to apply
  • Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Current First Aid Certificate/Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
  • Current child safety training – Mandatory reporting and other obligations
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Full COVID-19 Vaccination
