About the Centre/Service Prom Coast Centres for Children in Foster is a not for profit organisation offering Kindergarten and Long Day Care services in beautiful Prom Coast district in South Gippsland. Our Foster Centre is an Integrated Service that offers Kindergarten, Long Day Care and OSHC services. Description As a highly motivated, organised and experienced Early Childhood Educator with experience in planning and implementation of programs in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework, based on needs, interests and development of children this Program Leader position offers an excellent career opportunity. You will be responsible for Program management, including the children, staff, safety and environment. You will ensure the Program is an inclusive environment that fosters children's safety, security, positive relationships, be challenging, warm and caring. Critical reflection of the program is essential to this position and the role requires leadership to ensure all team members are positively supported to participate in the reflection process. Our Program Leaders build positive, trusting, two way relationships with parents, act as a positive role models and are active team members who conveying respect and guidance to other educators. Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to plan, provide and evaluate an inclusive child-centred play based program supportive of children's strengths, needs and interests and aligned to the EYLF
  • Working knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations the National Quality Standard and their role as a member of the early childhood education team in working toward achievement of the standards
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning and Development Frameworks and the E CA Code of Ethics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with educators, children and families
  • Demonstrated experiences in developing positive, trusting, two-way relationships with parents.
  • Demonstrated experiences working as a positive role model, an active team member who conveys respect and guidance to other colleagues.
