30 MarFair Work Commission clears way for VECTEA
In recent weeks ELAA has been leading an application before the Fair Work Commission (FWC), supported by the Australian Education Union (AEU), to finalise the list of employers who will be covered by the next VECTEA.
As previously advised, this was due to a small number of employers seeking to be removed from the employer list, due to their change in circumstances. The Fair Work Act requires such amendments to be approved by FWC and yesterday, 25 March, they handed down their decision, which was in full support of ELAA’s application.
ELAA and AEU will shortly advise respective members of next steps, following discussions around appropriate timetables for the employee ballot and the approval process for the next VECTEA.
