14 JulVECTEA 2020 Approval and Implementation
The Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Agreement 2020 (VECTEA 2020) was approved by the Fair Work Commission on 12 July, and will come into operation on Monday, 19 July 2021.
Members can CLICK HERE to access their copy of the VECTEA Implementation Kit on the ELAA website, where you will find useful tools and resources to support you during this transition period.
Also on our website, the VECTEA 2020 arrears calculator is now available for download by CLICKING HERE . We encourage members to download the calculator in anticipation of arrears (backpay) processing. Members will note that the VECTEA arrears calculator has been updated based on recent feedback (Version Q14.7.21), and we will continue to update the calculator as issues arise. Whilst ELAA can assist with queries relating to the operation of the calculator, employers are requested to utilise payroll information to complete their own calculations.
ADP will update rates of pay in its Payline system for members on 15 July 2021 in anticipation of the 19 July 2021 rate increase. VECTEA 2020 Wage Bulletins will be published on the ELAA website shortly. In the interim, refer to your Implementation Kit for payroll information, including VECTEA 2020 salary rates. Members are required to update employees rates of pay who are updating to a new increment under the Agreement (i.e. a Level 3.5 to a Level 3.6 Teacher).

VECTEA 2020 mirror agreement signatories will receive email confirmation shortly if they have lodged an expression of interest. As a member, ELAA will provide you with tailored resources to support the implementation of your intended Agreements.
Keep a look out for an Employer Bargaining Authorisation Form that will be issued to your service shortly.
