Safety – not child’s play

Tuesday, 21 May 2024 from 9am – 3pm

“Great session and incredibly interesting and valuable. It was lovely to attend an OHS session that is relevant to the sector … what is classed as a pretty dull subject was made interesting, very very useful and meaningful.” – recent participant feedback, May 2023.

As an approved early childhood service provider, you must ensure that you have the processes in place to look after the physical and mental safety of your staff.

ELAA and Recovre are here to help. We provide a one-day specialised OHS training tailored for the early childhood sector. Our seminars are interactive, with lots of real-life examples and great thought-provoking discussions. In this OHS seminar, we tackle how to keep staff safe from hazards and how to support their psychological well-being. It doesn’t have to be complicated, and we will show you which resources to use and how to make OHS a part of your everyday work.

This session is suitable for both employers and employees to attend. It is fast becoming one of the most sought-after ECEC sessions on the training calendar so we encourage early registration for 26 March.

We will also explore ACECQA’s Risk Assessment and Management Tool and how this can be included in your OHS processes.

Topics include:

  • OHS laws in Victoria
  • legal responsibilities of employers
  • duties of employees
  • OHS management systems
  • ACECQA Risk Assessment and Management Tool
  • hazard identification and risk assessments
  • manual handling
  • office ergonomics
  • psychological well-being of employees.
