19 JunELAA Wins Victorian Government’s WorkSafe Grant

Posted on 19 Jun 2024

Early Learning Association Australia (ELAA) is pleased to announce its selection as a recipient of the Victorian Government’s WorkSafe grant for 2023.

The Victorian Government’s WorkSafe grants program focuses on what will make the biggest difference and have the greatest impact on the health, safety, and wellbeing of Victorian workers.

The grants provide up to $300,000 for projects that improve risk management practices, increase education and awareness, or offer better support for those impacted or at risk of harm.

We are one of the five distinguished winners for the 2023 grant round. Our project, Improving Pathways for HSRs in the Early Childhood Sector (IPHECS), aims to improve OHS outcomes for the ECEC sector and to explore the role of health and safety representatives (HSRs) in early childhood education and care (ECEC).

The project focuses on addressing barriers to retention through increased connectivity and networking. It also aims to demonstrate the value of HSR engagement, highlighting its role in supporting the retention and wellbeing of the ECEC workforce.

The project is in its fine-tuning phase, and more details will be announced soon.
