An introduction to keeping kids safe
ELAA is hosting a free member webinar on 26 October with Growing Futures’ Helen Haydock providing our members with an introductory presentation on child safety.
During this one-hour introductory presentation Helen will cover:
- the context and prevalence of child abuse and harm in Australia
- the Victorian Child Safe Standards
- the intent behind each Standard and considerations for Early Childhood Services.
Helen facilitates training for Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services focused on safety beyond compliance. Helen’s sessions offer interactive elements that incorporate case studies, drawing on her extensive experience working with both perpetrators of abuse and children, families and adults who have experienced harm. This presentation will not be interactive, however, Helen will be responding to questions that you may have.
Prior to Helen’s presentation, ELAA encourages members to submit questions that relate to the Victorian Child Safe Standards or her training. Questions can be submitted via registration.
