An introduction to keeping kids safe
ELAA is hosting a free member webinar with Helen Haydock from Growing Futures on Thursday, 26 October. The webinar will provide our members with an introductory presentation on child safety. This is your last chance to register.
During this one-hour, introductory presentation Helen will cover:
- the context and prevalence of child abuse and harm in Australia
- the Victorian Child Safe Standards
- the intent behind each Standard and considerations for early childhood services.
Helen facilitates training for Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services focused on safety beyond compliance. Helen’s sessions offer interactive elements that incorporate case studies, drawing on her extensive experience working with both perpetrators of abuse and children, families and adults who have experienced harm. This presentation is not interactive, but Helen will be responding to questions that you may have.
Prior to Helen’s presentation, ELAA encourages members to submit questions that relate to the Victorian Child Safe Standards or her training. Questions can be submitted via registration.
