Posted on 07 Dec 2022

This week, Ingrid Stitt was reappointed to her role as Victorian Minister for Early Childhood and Pre-Prep, and newly appointed as the Minister for Environment. ELAA would like to congratulate Minister Stitt on here reappointment and expansion to the Environment portfolio. We have enjoyed working with the Minister over her previous term as Minister for Early Childhood and Pre-Prep. Since her initial appointment, Minister Stitt has introduced new reforms and considerable funding for the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) sector, including the introduction of free kinder from 2023.

ELAA looks forward to continuing our work with Minister Stitt and the Victorian Department of Education and Training (Vic DET) and will be participating in sector consultations and stakeholder groups to ensure the sustainability of the current and future funding and sector initiatives.
