10 MayNew CCF competitive grant round open

ELAA would like to alert our members to the Australian Government’s announcement that a new competitive grant round has opened, under the Community Child Care Fund (CCCF) program. This opportunity will provide $18million to establish new Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services in areas of limited supply. This funding will be available from October 2023 to June 2025.  

To be eligible to apply for this opportunity, you must be a Child Care Subsidy (CCS) approved provider seeking to operate a new Centre Based Day Care or Family Day Care service in an identified priority area. To see if you are in an identified area, please CLICK HERE. 

 Eligible providers can apply for grants of up to $900,000. Applications close on 1 June 2023 at 9p.m.  

The purpose of the grants is to provide establishment and capital support funding and to: 

  • set up services in communities experiencing disadvantage in regional and remote areas where there is a gap in the supply of approved services 
  • help providers build capacity and operate sustainably 
  • increase the number of children experiencing disadvantage in regional and remote areas to access ECEC 
  • enable local workforce participation by increasing access to ECEC.
