09 MayNew national early years strategy
The Australian Government has outlined its plans for early learning for the next 10 years with the release of the Early Years Strategy 2024-2034.
The priority focus areas of the national strategy are:
- valuing the early years
- empowering parents, caregivers, and families
- supporting and working with communities
- strengthening accountability and coordination.
We are pleased that the strategy strives to ensure that children, as well as their caregivers, are recognised, empowered, and connected to their community. We also welcome the shift towards a more collaborative approach to early years, with the Strategy committing to reducing ‘silos’ across Government programs.
