31 MarPreparing for winter – new ventilation grants

Posted on 31 Mar 2022

A well-ventilated space can significantly reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

With that in mind the Victorian Government has announced a further funding contribution of up to $4,000 available to eligible not-for-profit sessional and long day care providers offering a funded Three or Four-Year-Old Kindergarten program to support improved indoor ventilation.

This funding is in addition to the $4,500 contribution to eligible not-for-profit funded kindergarten services which was announced in Term 4, 2021.

The grants can be used for air purifiers for indoor learning spaces, subject to local service needs and choices.

Eligible providers should have received an email asking them to decide if they will opt in to receive the new grant funding. Questions about these grants should be directed to the Early Childhood Grants team at building.blocks@education.vic.gov.au
