05 SepRoad Safety Education – on the road

Posted on 05 Sep 2023

The ELAA Road Safety Education (RSE) team will be busy in the next few weeks taking our road safety messages to the public. We will be at the Melbourne Royal Show in the Exhibition Hall (Local Heros, Government and Community Partner Activations) providing information on why children need to be in child car seats until the child is approximately 145cm high. Too many children get out of car seats far too early and risk injuries, even in minor collisions.

The RSE Team will also be at the Elmore Field Days (Agribusiness Pavilion stand AP115  3 to 5 October 2023). We will be providing families attending with information on all issues relating to the safe transportation of children. We are very excited that we will also be visited by the children from Nathalia and District Preschool. Their four-year-old program children attended last year and had a great time. We’re not sure who enjoyed it more – the children, or the adults who saw them riding their bikes around in their “Caterpillar” formation?

Come and visit us at the stand or for more information go to our website www.childroadsafety.org.au.
