09 MayMapping the path: let us guide you to Early Years Management Success

Posted on 09 May 2024

Transitioning to Early Years Management (EYM) is an exciting opportunity for standalone kindergartens.

EYM organisations are local government or community-based organisations that provide professional leadership and centralised management of kindergarten services.

EYMs can improve the quality of service provision, provide professional development and career pathways for staff, and strengthen community partnerships.

ELAA has developed an EYM Transition Guide to support committees of management (CoM) of standalone kindergartens that are considering or in the process of transitioning to an Early Years Management (EYM) organisation.

This guide provides information and guidance on:

  • the benefits of EYM
  • when to consider transitioning to an EYM organisation
  • factors to consider when choosing an EYM organisation
  • how to ensure a successful transfer of responsibilities to an EYM organisation
  • where to find further information and support.

Transitioning to Early Years Management streamlines administrative processes, and improves financial management, freeing up valuable time for your education and care staff to focus on what they do best: nurturing and educating your children.
