13 OctWorkforce Crisis Summit
United Workers Union and Early Childhood Australia held a joint summit to address the ongoing workforce crisis in early education, which ELAA attended. This event, bringing together peak bodies, unions and sector representatives, was held to develop meaningful solutions to address the workforce crisis the sector is facing.
ELAA attended the summit to raise the need for support across settings, and to speak about the VECTEA as an example of a multi-employer agreement that runs across hundreds of kindergartens and has secured improved wages and conditions, thanks to government co-funding.
