23 JunIt’s time to renew your ELAA membership

Posted on 23 Jun 2020

The past few months have been a period of immense change for everyone and ELAA has continued to provide timely advice, support and resources for our members throughout the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We’re proud of the way our members have continued to focus on delivering quality early childhood education and care for children, supporting your families, and providing their employees with the consideration, management and support that they deserve – and we are proud that we have been there to support you.

ELAA is committed to supporting you to navigate the months ahead. There will be more member forums, resources, and timely advice  available to you that will focus on important topics including financial management, governance, IR, HR and more. And of course we will still be there to provide you with all the usual benefits of ELAA membership including:

  • access to great advice on provider management issues from our member services team
  • access to quality member only information resources, templates and videos
  • great discounts on essential publications like PolicyWorks
  • member rates on professional development events and specialist consultancies
  • special member-only pricing on products and services from ELAA partners like Officeworks and Bunnings
  • member only Special eNews updates on key policy and regulatory matters and much more.

Ensure you’re part of a strong, collective voice

Now, more than ever, we need a strong, collective voice for our sector to ensure governments understand and respond appropriately to the challenges faced by early childhood education and care providers. ELAA continues to provide a collective voice for you, our members. In recent times our advocacy has resulted in some direct wins for providers with ELAA being instrumental in influencing major government policy initiatives such as the The Victorian Government’s announcement, during April, of an additional $489 for each fee-paying enrolment during Term 2. ELAA continues to advocate to governments on COVID-19 related matters and wider issues (such as the future of 15 hours) and will continue to work with you to ensure our sector can deliver quality education and care to all children for years to come.

It’s time to renew your ELAA membership

The 2020-21 renewal period has commenced and your membership technically expires on 1 July 2020 (unless you joined ELAA in the past two months). Members have until 31 July 2020 to complete the renewal form before their membership becomes inactive.

Responding to your financial circumstances

We know that COVID-19 has meant there’s financial uncertainty for some of our members. While we work with you to provide guidance and advice during these times, the ELAA Board has resolved not to increase the membership fees for the 2020-21 member year. Your fee will be in the same bracket that you paid in the 2019-20 membership year. We also have arranged for more flexible invoicing options to assist your cash management. You can now opt to be invoiced annually (single payment of your fee) or quarterly (first invoice when you complete the renewal form, subsequent invoices are emailed on 1 September 2020, 1 December 2020 and 1 March 2021).

How to renew

As ELAA is a peak body for providers of early childhood education and care, only the approved provider organisations need to fill in the renewal form. All services operated by the approved provider are then included under that membership. You can follow the steps below from tomorrow to renew:

  • log-in to the members area of our website
  • if you are using the approved provider’s log-in, you will see a renewal notice at the top of the page: “Your membership will expire on 1st July 2020. Please renew now.” Follow the link to the renewal form. NB if you do not see the renewal notice at the top of the page it means that someone has already renewed your membership for 20/21
  • your renewal form will be partially filled with your membership details. Update the information that needs to be updated
  • your membership fee will be displayed under the Fee section
  • select the invoicing frequency you would like to opt for and the payment method (EFT or card)
  • submit the form once completed. If you opted for EFT, arrange payment of your fee and send a copy of the remittance to memberships@elaa.org.au.

If you have any questions about the renewal process, feel free to email memberships@elaa.org.au at any time.

We look forward to working with you in the 2020-21 membership year to ensure the continued quality and sustainability of our sector.

Take care
