01 MarProposed changes to NDIS early childhood intervention
ELAA recently participated in a consultation with VCOSS about a proposed change to introduce independent assessments as part of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) access and planning processes alongside a raft of changes to improve the early childhood early intervention approach. The resulting issues paper responds to the range of changes and makes recommendations covering increased capacity for short-term early intervention, adopting a family-centred approach to planning; and strengthening the capacity of early childhood partners. The resulting issues paper will be provided to the NDIS Joint Standing Committee for their inquiry.
