ELAA is seeking a talented full-time HR or Workplace Relations (IR) Advisor to join our collaborative Member Solutions advisory team.
Reporting to the Senior Advisor – Workplace Relations, the Workplace Relations Advisor, provides HR and industrial relations advisory support to early childhood education and care services. This opportunity is ideal for an emerging HR professional who has prior experience working within an Early Years Manager (EYM) or independent service or is interested in learning about the thriving early education and care sector.
In this role, you will:
- receive member enquiries via phone and email and provide detailed knowledge of employment legislation, including specialist knowledge of the Modern Award system and/or enterprise agreements, the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards
- provide case management employee relations advice, guiding employers on disciplinary matters, performance management, redundancy and grievance processes
- support and advise ELAA members to manage their governance, employment and regulatory responsibilities.
- establish and maintain relationships with both new and existing members and other service providers, including following up to ensure advice given meets requirements.
A background in human resources or workplace relations and at least 12 months of industry experience is required for this role (tertiary qualifications are preferred but not a prerequisite). Prior experience within the early childhood education and care sector or with the Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Agreement (VECTEA) is highly regarded.
