13 OctNew RCH anxiety campaign

Posted on 13 Oct 2022

Ahead of Mental Health Week, The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne has launched a communications campaign help parents to recognise early signs of anxiety in children and understand when and where to seek help. It is focused on Victorian parents of primary school aged children, however, it is useful for all parents and caregivers, educators, health professionals and those working in the mental health and wellbeing sector.

The online campaign includes advertising via social media, a range of web-based resources for parents and health professionals, and the release of a new National Child Health Poll research report. The campaign has benefited from the insights of Lived Experience advisors, and is to be translated into six languages targeting key CALD groups.

Services are encouraged to download this NCHP anxiety stakeholder toolkit which has loads of handy information for your educators and parents about recognising and managing anxiety in children.
