About the Centre/Service
Acacia Children's Centre is a not for profit community based centre located in St Albans. We are a child safe organisation that welcomes all children to participate in our program. We are an integrated Long Day Care and Kindergarten service. We pride ourselves on our commitment to the inclusion of all children and to enhance all children's wellbeing so they can become confident and independent learners. Our innovative educational program is delivered as an indoor/outdoor program which focusses on children learning through play and inquiry-based learning. We have been awarded with an Exceeding National Standards rating in the National Quality Standards. Our team of educators are passionate and very supportive of each other including new team members.

If the answer is yes to these questions then we have the position for you here at St Albans - Acacia Children’s Centre.
The position is for a Casual Cert III Educator, working closely with a team of dedicated educators ensuring the provision of high quality, responsive children's services that reflect the diverse needs of the community. Working under the children’s service award 2010, on rotating shifts between Monday to Friday, 6.30am to 6.00 pm.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Extensive knowledge of the EYLF and the NQS
- Excellent Communication (written & verbal) skills including computer skills, and be confident in using variety of Apps.
- Have an understanding and be able to adhere to all 11 child safe standards.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a team of educators.
- Knowledge and experience in providing a respectful and inclusive educational and caring environment for children and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Able to work in a community of learners, and willing to further develop your knowledge and skills.
- Certificate of Early Childhood or ACECQA assessed equivalent
- Previous experience in an educator role
- Knowledge of the EYLF and the NQS
- Computer skills
- Ability to work cohesively with a team of Educators
- Assist in the centres daily routines and processes
- Excellent Communication (written & verbal) skills
- Current First Aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis management, mandatory reporting certificates and Do Food Safely certificate.
- An up-to-date CV in word document outlining relevant experience
- 2 contactable referees from the childcare industry, comprising of at least one Nominated Supervisor/Director or Centre Owner/Operator.
