Strategies for improving participation and inclusion of children with a disability is a practical, relevant and reflective professional learning workshop that will provide information  and effective  strategies on how to support children’s engagement.

We will focus on teacher’s engagement, share experiences and critically reflect on inclusive practice as we explore and unpack inclusion together.

Furthermore, we will look at the importance of nurturing and responsive relationships and how we can establish high quality engaging environments to ensure the successful participation of all children.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Working for a world where people with disability are equal citizens, Yooralla have been working with children with developmental delays and disability for almost 100 years. Yooralla employs over 2000 people across Victoria, supporting children, young people and adults with disability to live the life they choose. As such, they have developed resources and professional learning workshops that inform early years educators in taking a family-centred approach within services which are linked to the EYLF and the VEYLDF.
