During the past 18 months, we have witnessed Victorian teachers and early childhood teachers responding with incredible professionalism and resilience to meet the challenge presented by COVID-19. Now, in Victoria’s sixth lockdown, we again applaud your commitment and passion to support your community and ensure Victoria’s children and young people receive the best education outcomes.
Teacher registration is important in maintaining professional standing and public confidence in the teaching profession, particularly in the safety of teachers to work with children.
Registered teachers and early childhood teachers are required to complete annual registration tasks by 30 September 2021 to maintain their registration.
The VIT understands that the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) may have an impact on some teachers’ ability to fulfil their annual registration requirements and have made changes to assist you to maintain your registration.
