29 JanCancer Council Victoria Achievement Program: Make health and wellbeing a priority in your service

Posted on 29 Jan 2021

Early Learning Association Australia has been working closely with the Achievement Program at Cancer Council Victoria and we have been updating our policies to align with the program’s requirements.

To date ELAA has reviewed the following policies to align with Cancer Council Victoria’s Healthy Early Childhood Services Achievement Program [Achievement Program].
• Nutrition, Oral Health, and Active Play
• Sun Protection
• Inclusion and Equity
• Occupational Health and Safety
• Information and Communication Technology

The Achievement Program is a free Victorian Government initiative that helps early childhood services create healthier environments that benefit children, educators and families. The program aligns with the National Quality Standard and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.

By being involved, you’ll be supported to improve health and wellbeing in areas such as healthy eating and oral health, physical activity and movement, mental health and wellbeing, and more.

You’ll also gain access to an online portal, which contains evidence-based resources, tools and information to help you create a healthier service.
