14 AugDET Vic about to release online tool to support school readiness funding
DET Vic is close to releasing an online tool to support school readiness funding – the Early Childhood Strategic Planning Online Tool (ECSPOT). The tool has been designed to streamline the planning and monitoring process for school readiness funding. Development for the first release of the tool is in its final stages and DET Vic are aiming to launch ECSPOT to the sector in September-October 2019 for 2020 planning. Support available to the sector will include:
- a page guide built into the tool
- helpdesk support
- ongoing support with planning and implementing school readiness funding through designated Early Childhood Improvement Branches in each Departmental Area and
- user acceptance testing with services, which will determine other support requirements.
To streamline the registration process the Department will create and delegate access for users who will be planning and approving plans within the tool. Communication introducing ECSPOT and instructions to access ECSPOT will be distributed to service providers over the coming weeks.
