01 AprELAA CEO update – 1 April 2021
Dear members and friends
Learning Brought to Life has launched
This week we are proud to launch our new Learning Brought to Life online professional development platform for early childhood education and care service managers, Committees of Management, EYM executives, teachers and educators. The mix of live sessions and self-paced modules on our platform really makes Professional Development accessible and affordable for our sector. Take a look at the program and find out more – there’s further details in this week’s eNews.
Job Keeper reminder
Just a reminder that Job Keeper has ceased as of 28 March. Whilst JobKeeper has not been accessed universally across the early childhood education and care sector, it played an important role in supporting eligible organisations through a period of significant uncertainty. Providers and managers should be aware that their monthly business declarations need to be completed by 14 April 2021 to receive final JobKeeper Payments. If your organisation is facing financial hardship as a result of JobKeeper ending, contact ELAA by emailing membersolutions@elaa.org.au
VIC COVID restrictions update
Victorian services will be aware that COVID 19 restrictions have been significantly relaxed in Victoria over the past week. We have updated our COVID 19 Frequently Asked Questions page to reflect the current situation in Victoria so please refer to that page if in doubt.
We’re expanding our Member Solutions team
Finally, next week ELAA welcomes our new Member Solutions Senior Advisor, Sharon Rogers. Sharon has excellent experience in our sector and will further increase our capacity to provide tailored, high quality advice to members.
For all those members taking some time off during the Victorian Term break I wish you a relaxing couple of weeks and look forward to connecting with you in Term 2.
Take care
David Worland
