10 SepELAA CEO Update – 10 September, 2019

Posted on 10 Sep 2019

Dear ELAA members and supporters

Welcome to the final eNews for Term 3. There’s been some great things happening among our members recently. Bond Street Kindergarten in Newtown joined over 40 other services across Australia last week who hosted a Federal parliamentarian to celebrate Early Learning Matters Week. They hosted member for Corio and Deputy Opposition Leader, Richard Marles, for a morning which provided a great opportunity to tell him about why quality, play-based, early learning is essential to the future of our children and nation. Congratulations to Albert Park Preschool on becoming Australia’s first carbon neutral certified early learning service and to Gowrie Victoria’s Broadmeadows Valley service on recently attaining an ACECQA ‘Excellent’ rating. You can read more about these successes in this week’s edition of eNews. And a reminder to all services who have elected for ELAA to represent them in the VETEA renegotiation – please ensure you have distributed your NERR notice to employees by this Thursday. More information on this available in this week’s eNews.

All the best for the coming Term 3 break.
