The Healthy Early Childhood Services Achievement Program is a free Victorian Government health and wellbeing initiative, which is aligned with the seven quality areas of the National Quality Standards and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. Kindergartens, long day care centres and family day care services are supported to create healthier environments that benefit children, educators and families.

By joining the Achievement Program, you’ll be supported to achieve best-practice milestones for key health areas of:

  • healthy eating
  • physical activity
  • mental health and wellbeing
  • safe environments
  • sun protection, and
  • tobacco, alcohol and other drugs.

Program members gain access to an online portal – which has resources, tools and information – and on-the-ground support from a network of health promoters, to help you implement healthy changes. You can work through the program at your own pace and once the health area milestones have been achieved, you can receive Victorian Government recognition as a healthy early childhood service.

To register your service for this free Victorian Government initiative, please visit the registration page.

The Achievement Program is supported by the Victorian Government and delivered by Cancer Council Victoria. For more information,  visit www.achievementprogram.health.vic.gov.au/
