On National Close the Gap Day it’s timely to remind services about the Victorian Government’s Koorie Kids Shine initiative.
Significant improvements in Aboriginal participation in kindergarten have been achieved as a result of sustained, collaborative work between multiple partners and stakeholders, in particular kindergarten teachers and providers.
In the context of significant and valuable kindergarten reform, we need to maintain these gains by continuing to reach out to those that might still be missing out, particularly in Early Start Kindergarten.
