The Commission for Children and Young People has a number of new training sessions and resources available for those in your ogranisation responsible for planning and implementation of the Child Safe Standards and/or Reportable Conduct Scheme.
Information sessions in Melbourne, Swan Hill and Mildura
The sessions are for: senior staff, such as CEOs, principal officers or human resources, governance and compliance managers and committees of management and will:
- help you to create a culture of child safety and comply with Child Safe Standards and the Reportable Conduct Scheme
- provide a general overview and information about both schemes, including the legal responsibilities of a Head of an organisation, what is reportable conduct, and the investigation process.

Child Safe Standards Community of Practice

Guidance Resources
The Commission for Children and Young People and the Department of Health and Human Services have jointly developed guidance material for service providers on streamlining Client Incident Management System (CIMS) and Reportable Conduct Scheme (RCS) investigations. Conducting a joint Client Information Management System and Reportable Conduct Scheme investigations: Guidance for service providers, supports community service organisations and investigators to increase their understanding of the different roles of each of the schemes and better plan and conduct joint CIMS and RCS investigations.
