03 NovNew Vic ECEC COVIDSafe Settings Guide

Posted on 03 Nov 2021

The Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) has released a comprehensive guide for Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services across Victoria. This coincides with the resumption of ECEC for all children, and of activities including incursions and excursions, orientations and transition visits.

This guide includes new streamlined outbreak management procedures, vaccination requirements and operational advice. CLICK HERE to view the Guide.

All services should note that parents/carers are not required to be vaccinated for their children to attend services as of 1 November 2021. The Kindergarten Funding Guide requires services to be inclusive of children attending and enrolling in a service. DET is actively seeking feedback on the guide, so please let us know if there are areas that are unclear, causing confusion or other issues the guide should cover.

ELAA will be retiring its Coronavirus FAQs on our main webpage given the new DET guide is now the key source of advice for services to follow .

Extra resources for members, for example regarding industrial relations, will continue to be available at our Coronavirus resources section in the ELAA website member only area.
