Recent data has shown that one in eighteen Indigenous children in Australia are in out-of-home care. In a podcast for Emerging Minds, Yoo-rrook Justice Commissioner Sue-Anne Hunter talks about her work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in the out-of-home care system.
In this episode she shares some of the challenges within the system, and how understanding culture and connection as a protective factor will help non-Aboriginal practitioners in their work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
