24 AugReimbursement from Long Service Leave Authority
Long Service Benefits Portability Amendment Regulations 2020 (Amendment Regulations) are now in force. A change to Regulation 12 allows employers to seek reimbursement from the Portable Long Service Authority if they have paid an employee a long service leave entitlement under the Long Service Leave Act 2018 or a contract of employment (for the period where the employer levy has also been paid). The Regulations already allow for reimbursement where a payment is made pursuant to a fair work instrument.
