02 MarReview of Victorian No Jab No Play legislation

Posted on 02 Mar 2020

On the 1 January 2016 the No Jab No Play legislation commenced in Victoria as part of a state-wide approach to protect Victorian children aged 0-5 years against serious diseases. A review of the No Jab No Play legislation will be undertaken in 2020 to assess impact of No Jab No Play on childhood outcomes and the service system. The Centre for Evaluation and Research (CER) at the Department of Health and Human Services are undertaking the No Jab No Play 2020 review. CER are a separate division in the Department and are independent of No Jab No Play policy delivery. Scope of the review is limited to Victorian No Jab No Play legislation and does not extend to federal No Jab No Pay legislation.

Written submissions are invited from peak bodies/key stakeholders involved in the implementation of No Jab No Play in Victoria. The written submission closing date is 13 March 2020. To inform the review, stakeholders will also be engaged through surveys and interviews. If your organisation would like to promote parent and carer feedback to inform the No Jab No Play 2020 review, please direct them to the following Engage Victoria parent/carer survey link: https://www.engage.vic.gov.au/review-no-jab-no-play-legislation

ELAA will be making a submission and ELAA members are invited to provide any feedback to Lisa Minchin, Advocacy and Grants Lead (LMinchin@elaa.org.au) by 11 March.
