The ELAA Board and staff are delighted to invite members, parent volunteers and colleagues from across the early learning sector to the 2020 ELAA AGM which will be held virtually via Zoom on Thursday, 19 November at 6.30pm.
Keynote speaker
We are very pleased also to announce Ms Leslee Udwin as our keynote speaker. Ms Udwin was voted by the NY Times the No 2 Most Impactful Woman of 2015, and has been awarded the prestigious Swedish Anna Lindh Human Rights Prize. Ms Udwin is founder and CEO of Think Equal, a global education initiative that calls for a system change in education to end the discriminatory mindset and cycle of violence across the world.
Volunteer award
Parent volunteers will be acknowledged and honoured through the presentation of the annual McArthur Early Childhood Volunteer of the Year Award. Voting and Board nomination documentation
Members have been sent a separate email communication today including formal notice of our AGM and, depending on whether you are a full, associate or subscriber member, essential voting information and documentation. Please be sure to read this information prior to our AGM.
Early Childhood Education Fund
At AGM time it’s traditional for ELAA to encourage members and supporters to donate to the Early Childhood Education Fund. Over the past 22 years, the Fund provided more than $150,000 in kindergarten fees to support over 220 families.
We would really appreciate your donation and with your help, children from families experiencing financial challenges can have a better start and participate in a quality learning environment during these precious early years.
All contributions will be issued with a receipt and donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.
